    <paragraph>
On January 12, 2005, one of the shining lights in the Santa Clara Cursillo Community went home to be with his Lord. Rick Todd, who made his cursillo in 1997, died. Among his survivors are his wife, Betty, and youngest son, Christopher. Ricks Memorial Service was held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Mountain View on January 27. Bruce Horn reported that there were lots of cursillo folks in attendance. Sue Ramar spoke eloquently of Rick's attendance at cursillo in 1997 when she and Steve Kottmeier were rector and rectora, and of his many contributions since. Those of us who knew Rick are truly blessed. Because of Rick's disability he was unable to work as a regular member of a team. When Joanne Crary and Floyd Farlow were rector and rectora in 1999, Joanne suggested that the position of Prayer Palanca Person be created for Rick. He served in that position with distinction, praying for members of the team and for candidates as names were added. He always had a copy of the weekend schedule and prayed for rollistas at the time they were giving their rollos.
